urban apes Hannover is the city's original bouldering hall — opened in 2005 as Escaladrome, the first bouldering hall in northern Germany, and joined the urban apes group in 2025 via the Steinbock acquisition. Across 900 m² total with 475 m² of bouldering wall, around 180 routes, 6,000 holds, and a Kilterboard, it spans two halls in Döhren-Wülfel covering all levels. Bistro, family programs, fitness and warm-up areas round out the offer.
